Who Enforces the WHMIS 2015 in the Workplace?

• Both federal and provincial WHMIS laws are enforced by the Ministry of Labour (MOL).

• Violations of WHMIS regulations can lead to a fine of $100,000 and a 25% victim surcharge fine and/or a term of up to 12 months in jail for an individual.
