When a product is considered a hazardous product by WHMIS legislation, a worker must;
- Report missing labels to their supervisors
- Know how / where to access MSDSs
- Comply with SDSs user instructions, and
- Comply with training, PPE, and all relevant regulations.
Remember to:
- Read the WHMIS label of the “hazardous product” you are going to use
- Tell your supervisor if a label is damaged or missing
- Do not use a product that is not labelled
- Ask your supervisor if you have any questions about any product
